In Our Instant World, Decisions Must Be Informed

07/27/10 (People Port) The Shirley Sherrod video looks most like a business breakfast meeting (Watch the 40 min video). She was USDA's executive for rural development in Georgia. Her personal lecture revealed where and how her entrepreneur skills were developed. She, her job, were not about race, She is about developing rural America. Great video to watch, easily substitute any rural town, I heard that same tax discussion...

In this instance, race was used to draw this Administration into a lose/lose situation. Sure a Race link under issues on the White House landing page may pacify, The critics seam to forget. candidate Obama is now President Obama. Make no mistake -He is the most powerful person, In the most powerful nation the world has ever known. He should not -ever- use his bully pulpit to take down a little muckraker -that is the DNC's job, never higher or official. All this makes one of my favorite points, Words can only shape actions. Our new world of blogs, instant news, means instant decisions. Those instant decisions must be informed Stop being so cheap, hire some people for all your departments. Previous Administrations could, usually did, have multi-media responses ready in hours.
